Now the ingredients must be put together and mixed, manipulated and matured to deliver the fine satisfying result.
All projects have one common denominator - they are extremely time sensitive!
We start with an initial project meeting at which the whole team and all the ingredients are present. The output of this meeting is the project plan, with a list of suppliers, a detailed delivery plan, critical dates identified and overall duration established.
Project Management
A project is a carefully planned sequence of events. A delay in one event can endanger the time frame for the whole project. It is our job to keep the project on time, no matter what. We insist on a weekly operations meeting with the key people involved at which we measure and review progress against the plan. If things are going off track, we will come to the meeting with the problems identified and the solutions on the table. Generally this is not necessary, and the meetings are brief. They are minuted in detail, with distribution to all stakeholders within one day.
With the project plan in hand, and the management of that plan proceeding, we turn to tactical, "on the ground", issues.

Suppliers just want to get their cargo shipped. They aren't going to look to save a container for you by effective stuffing. In fact, they will at most do what they are required to do by your contract with them. We engage with them, looking for greater efficiencies, and advising them on best shipping practice.

In difficult cases it definitely works to be there! We go there in difficult cases.
-
We monitor vessels and shipments according to ever changing schedules, acting to make sure that everything stays on course.
-
At the end of the day, we know that your interest is to see your cargo on site, on time. We don't drag you into the tactical details of achieving this.
With your cargo on site, on time, you have enjoyed our finest cocktail. As conductor, we have performed our symphony, in perfect harmony. We have demonstrated the difference.
Your praise and applause demonstrate to us that you have enjoyed the experience, and we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy it again.
